About the position
Responsibilities
• Assist clubs in their operational launch, ensuring adherence to league standards.
• Staff and coordinate the schedule for the League Command Center in New York City during the League Season.
• Review in-stadium and game-related incidents throughout the season and playoffs.
• Lead match and stadium operations for league special events such as All-Star games and Cup competitions.
• Liaise with host venues to ensure necessary staffing levels for stadium and match operations.
• Oversee Event Guide preparation and communication with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain Operations policies and manuals.
• Handle hiring and onboarding of part-time employees for event operations.
• Manage weather service communications regarding potential weather delays.
• Oversee team travel and accommodations with league partners.
• Develop personal growth opportunities for supervised employees.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in event management for sporting events.
• Superior organization and project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Office software.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Experience in managing staff and budgets.
• Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Nice-to-haves
• 2 years' experience at a major sporting facility or club.
• Knowledge of the sport of soccer.
• Business proficiency in Spanish.
