We’re looking for a senior Direct Response Creative Director to own the strategy, ideation, and execution of all conversion-focused creative across long-form content and paid advertising.
This is a hybrid role combining creative direction, founder collaboration, and hands-on copywriting.
The goal of this role is simple:
remove the founder as a creative bottleneck so content and ads can be produced at scale.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Long-form conversion assets (primary):
Writing VSL scripts
Writing long-form YouTube scripts
Educational sales content that builds trust and converts without hype
Most long-form assets will:
Lead into low-ticket offers
Then move customers through a value ladder into high-ticket programs
You must understand:
Traffic temperature (cold, warm, hot)
Awareness stages
When to educate vs when to sell
How long-form content builds belief, trust, and intent
Short-form direct response ads:
Building full ad angle libraries
Writing up to 10+ short-form direct response ad scripts per week
Creating variations for testing and iteration
Ensuring consistency between ads, long-form content, and funnel messaging
This is performance-driven creative.
Not organic or trend-based content.
Founder collaboration & idea extraction:
Working directly with the founder to extract ideas, philosophy, frameworks, and positioning
Turning abstract thinking into clear, ready-to-record scripts
Preserving tone, authority, and voice
You won’t just receive briefs.
You’ll help create the brief through conversation.
Funnel Knowledge (High-Level)
You are not required to build funnels.
However, you must have strong high-level knowledge of:
Different funnel types (lead magnet, VSL, challenge, webinar, tripwire)
How messaging changes across funnel stages
How creative supports value ladders and ascension
If you also have experience advising on funnel improvements at a high level, that’s a plus — but not required.
Weekly Output Expectations
1–2 long-form scripts per week (VSLs or YouTube)
Up to 10+ short-form direct response ad scripts per week
Clear outlines and recording notes so filming is frictionless
Ongoing pipeline so multiple assets are always in progress
This is an ongoing collaboration, not one-off tasks.
Required Experience & Skills
You must have:
Proven experience writing direct response long-form copy that converts
Strong understanding of persuasion, belief shifts, proof, and objection handling
Ability to write scripts that sound natural when spoken on camera
Experience ideating angles, narratives, and creative frameworks
Comfort owning creative from idea to final script
Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with founders

You should be comfortable using AI to:
Accelerate research and ideation
Create variations and iterations
Improve speed without sacrificing quality or tone
AI is a leverage tool, not a replacement for thinking.
