What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities and Expectations
As a Customer Service Representative at AT&T, you'll play a critical role in delivering outstanding customer experiences. Your responsibilities will include:
- Addressing a broad range of customer service call types, including collections, retention, sales channel coordination, billing and adjustments, and advanced technical support
- Utilizing creative problem-solving skills to resolve complex customer questions and concerns
- Providing effective and timely resolutions for customers and delivering personalized recommendations for our latest products and services
- Instilling confidence and loyalty in customers through thoughtful listening and knowledge of AT&T's products and services
- Simplifying explanations of customer bills, rate plans, and features of AT&T's products and services
- Engaging with Tier 3 support, third-party vendors, and suppliers as needed to address issues and provide customer resolution
- Handling wireless local number portability (WLNP), relocations, combined bill support, after-hours inquiries, and prepaid service
- Troubleshooting and resolving various customer-impacting issues, such as voice and data, that span multiple networks and elements
- Getting customers up and running with the latest products and services, such as air cards, USB devices, and AT&T-provided software and applications
- Participating in outbound calls, customer call-backs, Tier 2 ticket support, escalation investigations, and email follow-up
What You'll Need: Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed as a Customer Service Representative at AT&T, you'll need:
- Call center or customer service experience
- Flexibility to work any schedule during hours of operation, including day, evening, weekend, or holiday hours
- Advanced typing/keyboarding skills
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that caters to a variety of customer situations, including defusing difficult customer situations and maintaining a professional demeanor in stressful situations
- Verified internet service (secure, reliable, and dedicated high-speed) and an established dedicated work area (desk, chair, electrical outlet, direct LAN connection) for remote work
- Compliance with AT&T's work-from-home standards, including technical, security, physical, noise levels, and Clean Desk policy requirements
