About the position
Amentum is seeking a Contracts Professional for the Space Force Range Contract Job Description The Contracts Professional will support the full lifecycle of contract administration for complex government and commercial programs. Responsibilities include negotiating terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS requirements, and supporting proposal development. This role requires strong knowledge of federal regulations, cost analysis, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure timely and compliant contract execution. (This position supports the Eastern and Western Range and has potential for hybrid or remote work)
Responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, and other contractual documents.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and 2 CFR 200 requirements for federal contracts.
• Conduct contract price analysis
• Support negotiations with partners and vendors on terms, conditions, and pricing.
• Support proposal efforts, including risk assessment and contractor document collection.
• Maintain accurate records in contract management systems and ensure audit readiness.
• Collaborate with program managers and finance teams to align contract strategies with project objectives.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of contract administration experience in government contracting.
• Demonstrated expertise in FAR/DFARS compliance requirements.
• Proven track record managing complex procurement actions and negotiations.
• Must have (or obtain) DoD Secret Security Clearance within 60 days of hire, which includes U.S. citizenship.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
