Job title: Business Development Manager - Fund Administration (Hedge Funds & Private Equity) Role: Full Time The Company Our client is an Independent Global Fund Administrator that provides a full range of fund administration services for Alternative funds such as Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Venture Capital, Crypto Funds, VCC, Retail Estate Funds, etc. Their services include reviewing constitutional fund documents from an operational perspective, helping to set up the structure, providing tax and accounting services for the funds including financial preparation and calculation of net asset value. They also provide investor services for funds that include KYC review, onboarding, calculation of return, and distribution of statements. All books and records are maintained on a robust integrated platform. They have one of the fastest-growing companies in the fund admin space with 15+ offices in APAC and counting. Our client is planning to expand their business into corporate services such as accounting, tax, payroll and corporate secretarial for SMEs in Singapore followed by other countries which they have a presence in. Job purpose The Business Development Manager will support the company’s growth objectives by identifying, engaging, and developing relationships with prospective clients within the alternative investment and fund management space. This role is ideal for a driven sales professional with 2–5 years of experience in financial services, fund administration, fintech, or B2B solutions, who is eager to contribute to a fast‑scaling global organization. The Business Development Manager will work closely with senior sales leadership, marketing, and client service teams to expand the firm’s presence across the U.S. market. Duties & Responsibilities Business Development & Lead Generation • Identify and qualify prospective fund managers, investment firms, and financial sponsors. • Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities across alternative asset classes. • Conduct outreach through email, networking, industry events, and strategic prospecting. • Support end‑to‑end sales cycles from discovery through proposal and closing. • Coordinate client presentations and product demonstrations with internal teams. • Understand client needs and communicate the value of the firm’s administration and investor services platform. Market & Industry Knowledge • Stay current on trends in hedge funds, private equity, crypto funds, and fund operations. • Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities for differentiation. • Build credibility through knowledge of regulatory, operational, and investor servicing requirements. Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Support • Partner with marketing to execute campaigns and follow‑up strategies. • Work closely with operations and onboarding teams to ensure smooth client transitions. • Provide feedback from the market to enhance service offerings and sales messaging. Reporting & Performance Tracking • Maintain accurate CRM records of client interactions and pipeline progress. • Report on weekly activity, sales forecasts, and business development outcomes. Requirements • 2–5 years of sales or business development experience in fund administration, alternative investments, financial services and fintech / SaaS solutions. • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment. • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales activity and pipeline targets. • Familiarity with hedge funds, private equity fund structures, or investor services (preferred).
