Job Summary
As the Credit Management Team Lead, you will oversee the activities and functions of the Credit Balances and Credit Management staff. This pivotal role involves monitoring workflow, providing training to team members, and contributing to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures. Additionally, you will identify areas for process improvement, serve as a point of contact for inquiries from both internal representatives and clients, and lead special projects to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Supervise and support Credit Balances and Credit Management staff, ensuring smooth workflow and productivity.
Compile and generate reports on work status and volume for management review.
Conduct training sessions for the Credits team to enhance skills and knowledge.
Assist in the development and upkeep of policies and procedures related to credit management.
Identify trends and opportunities for process optimization within the Credits team.
Address inquiries from credit representatives and clients, determining appropriate outcomes.
Perform reconciliation of work queues and smart feeds, resolving any discrepancies.
Analyze credit balances to identify root causes and propose strategies for reducing credit/refund volumes.
Act as a subject matter expert for leadership, offering insights and recommendations.
Lead and coordinate special projects to meet organizational objectives.
Monitor, assign, and ensure completion of tasks related to the MCX Credits email box.
Conduct quality audits for the onshore team and comprehensive audits for the offshore team, presenting findings to management as scheduled.
Adhere to HIPAA standards in handling patients' protected health information.
Maintain a professional demeanor at all times and perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong email and internet skills.
Accurate keyboard skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with office management systems and procedures.
Knowledge of administrative and healthcare administration practices.
Experience with EMR systems is advantageous.
Understanding of AR/Denials processes is a plus.
