Key Responsibilities
- Research and Reporting: Conduct research on assigned topics, gather information through interviews, and contribute to news stories.
- Writing: Write articles, news briefs, and feature stories.
- Content Creation: Assist in the creation of multimedia content including videos and photo galleries.
- Collaborative Projects: Work with the editorial team to develop and pitch story ideas. Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Fact-Checking: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of information by cross-referencing sources and conducting thorough fact-checks.
- Audience Engagement: Engage with readers and viewers through comments, social media, and other interactive platforms.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Journalism, Communication, English, or related degree program.
- Writing Skills: Strong writing and editing skills with an understanding of journalistic style and standards.
- Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize information from various sources.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable conducting interviews and speaking with sources.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.

- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Internship Details
- Duration: The internship lasts for 8 weeks
- Location: This role is virtual but applicant must reside in New Jersey and requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the minimum liability insurance required by state law.
