About the position The Physical Therapist (PT) position focuses on orthopedic care in an outpatient setting. The role involves interpreting physician referrals, conducting evaluations, establishing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress. The therapist will work closely with patients to address their physical and psychosocial needs, ensuring optimal care and communication with stakeholders. Responsibilities also include documentation, maintaining productivity standards, and participating in performance improvement activities. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including two evenings until 7:30 PM, and offers a $5000 sign-on bonus payable in two installments. Responsibilities • Interprets physician referrals and completes evaluations. • Establishes and implements individual treatment plans based on evaluations. • Monitors and evaluates treatment outcomes, adjusting plans as necessary. • Plans for patient discharge and provides written home programs. • Communicates and collaborates with stakeholders for optimal patient care. • Completes required documentation following department policies. • Maintains site/department productivity standards. • Participates in performance improvement activities. • Pursues professional growth through continuing education. • May supervise physical therapy assistants and students. Requirements • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school. • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of practice. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire. • No prior work experience required. • Intermediate computer skills. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
