As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Special Education Teacher to join our team and help make a difference in the lives of students in New Hampshire. Job Summary: As a Remote Special Education Teacher, you will work closely with students who have a range of learning disabilities, emotional challenges, or other special needs. Through virtual teaching and individualized support, you will create and implement tailored lesson plans, monitor student progress, and collaborate with families, administrators, and support staff to ensure each student’s success. Key Responsibilities: • Create Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Develop and implement IEPs that reflect the unique needs and learning styles of each student, in collaboration with the student’s support team. • Virtual Instruction: Deliver high-quality, interactive virtual lessons in accordance with state and federal education standards. • Assessment & Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust teaching methods as needed. • Provide Support: Offer one-on-one or small group sessions to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed. • Collaboration: Work with parents, caregivers, and other educators to track student progress, share strategies for success, and adapt learning approaches. • Behavioral Support: Implement strategies for addressing behavioral challenges and providing social-emotional support in the virtual classroom setting. • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and communication with families. • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices, state regulations, and advancements in special education. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (Master’s preferred). • New Hampshire Special Education Teaching Certification. • Proven experience working with students with special needs, particularly in a virtual or hybrid environment. • Strong knowledge of IEPs, 504 Plans, and other educational accommodations. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. • Proficiency with virtual teaching tools, platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom), and educational software. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment. • Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs and creating an inclusive learning environment. Preferred Skills & Experience: • Experience with online learning platforms and remote teaching techniques. • Familiarity with New Hampshire’s special education laws and regulations. • Ability to adapt curriculum to suit a variety of learning styles and needs. • Experience in behavior management and supporting students with emotional or behavioral challenges.
