As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer, you will work in small teams to own the execution of high-stakes projects, bridging the company's technology with customers' operational environments. Responsibilities Work across our entire stack to develop new products, features, and tools for our customers' autonomy development workflows Have an unparalleled opportunity to work with domain experts across a variety of fields: infrastructure, robotics, and graphics engineers, as well as startup veterans Work directly with defense and government customers to deploy, integrate, and operationalize Applied Intuition's vehicle intelligence products in military and government environments—from defense contractors to forward operating bases Tackle a broad range of technical challenges, including software engineering, operating system configuration, system deployment, and hardware integration Bridge customer-built systems and Applied’s solutions to deliver tangible value Design and implement scalable, consistent approaches for customer engagement and project execution Develop architectural solutions that improve consistency and scalability across projects Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and customer teams to ensure successful outcomes Take ownership of technical outcomes and drive projects to completion, adapting to changing requirements and priorities Skills Strong engineering background, preferred in fields such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python Experience supporting integration and deployment of complex systems Experience taking initiative in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills and focus on solving customer problems Must be a U.S. Citizen Must hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance Prior experience working with government customers, defense contractors, or in military environments Familiarity with system architecture and designing scalable solutions Experience in defense, automotive, robotics, or adjacent industries Soliciting customer requirements and mapping to product level features or roadmaps Benefits Equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage 401k retirement benefits with employer match Learning and wellness stipends Paid time off Company Overview Applied Intuition provides software infrastructure to safely develop, test, and deploy autonomous vehicles at scale.
