Job Overview As a Spark Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in driving the design and development of features and solutions related to data analysis, data transformation, data modeling, and data visualization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources, providing visibility over plans and status to different stakeholders. Your expertise will be essential in supporting, mentoring, and guiding junior engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers and clients. Key Responsibilities Drive the design and development of features and solutions connected with data analysis, data transformation, data modeling, and data visualization. Develop well-designed, testable, efficient solutions using best software development practices. Design, develop, test, document, deploy, monitor, and support code. Participate in a scrum team, consistently delivering incremental high-quality code and reports to production. Interact with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources. Provide visibility over plans and status to different stakeholders (IT). Work closely with Engineers, Product Managers, and Product Owners to define and support platforms and applications. Support, mentor, and guide junior engineers. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in making testable code and reports. Experience with Business Intelligence Data Visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, Microstrategy, etc. Strong knowledge of social SQL databases and non-social databases. Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Scala, R. Knowledge of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tools. Experience using CI/CD tools - GitHub, GoCD, Terraform, or possibly Azure DevOps. Strong knowledge of data modeling and architecture. Knowledge of creating applications using public cloud, preferably Azure, highly interested in Data Services. Understanding of Agile Scrum, CI/CD, DevOps best practices. Strong understanding of Git-based version control. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming. Familiarity with one of the following languages: Java, NodeJS, C#. Experience working in a global, distributed team, with in-house and external delivery resources. Working on one Agile lifecycle management tool like Jira or Azure DevOps.
