About the Role: Retail Customer Service Associate As a Retail Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you'll be the face of our brand, providing personalized support to customers, and ensuring seamless transactions. You'll be responsible for delivering a positive customer experience, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. Key Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Utilize consultative skills to understand customer needs, provide product recommendations, and suggest alternatives to meet their requirements. Operate and maintain a wide variety of equipment, including printing, binding, and shipping equipment. Manage the production queue and output, ensuring efficient workflow and meeting customer deadlines. Process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), handling cash, and making change. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store environment, adhering to company standards and policies. Assist in training store team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Stay up-to-date on retail store merchandising materials, ensuring proper display of products and signage. Take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste, contributing to the overall efficiency of the store. Complete assigned tasks based on priority, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Essential Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent education. 6+ months of specialized experience in a retail or customer service environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, vendors, and team members. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift 55 pounds, and perform tasks that require bending, twisting, and manual handling. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure, while maintaining attention to detail and concentration. Ability to function with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to work. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences. Knowledge of printing, signs, and graphics, as well as shipping and packaging products. Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and financial transactions. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide solutions to customer issues.
