**Experienced Entry-Level Dock Operations Specialist – Freight Handling and Logistics**

If you're passionate about logistics, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to learn and grow with our company, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:** As a Dock Operations Specialist at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include: * Performing freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks * Verifying documentation matches freight description, using current electronic or manual systems * Securing freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies, such as pallets, straps, and rope * Recouping and repairing damaged freight when necessary * Verifying and completing required documentation and reports * Assisting customers with freight and freight documentation as needed * Performing hostling duties if required * Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures * Performing other duties as required **Qualifications:** To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent, preferred * Must be at least 18 years of age * Prior experience in warehousing, freight handling, and/or forklift operations preferred * If hostler/yard mule duties are required, experience is preferred * Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator * Basic written and verbal communication skills * Ability to lift and carry hand freight of varying weights several times a week, to lift dock plates weighing approximately 100 pounds, and to open trailer doors requiring approximately 75 pounds of lift force, up to several times per day or more * Ability to bend, twist, squat, pushing/pulling freight throughout the shift * Ability to work independently and/or as a team member * Previous dock/warehouse experience is preferred **Working Conditions:** As a Dock Operations Specialist at blithequark, you can expect to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with the following conditions: * Dock environment; exposure to varied weather conditions, exhaust, fumes, dust, and noise * Hours may vary due to operational need * Frequent contact with service center personnel; fast-paced, deadline-oriented **Why Join blithequark?** At blithequark, we offer a range of benefits and opportunities to help you grow and succeed in your career.
