**Experienced Customer Service Advocate – Remote in New Mexico**

As a Customer Service Advocate, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, resolving complex issues, and empowering our members to take control of their health care. You'll be part of a talented team that's passionate about making a difference and committed to excellence in everything we do. **About the Role** In this role, you'll be responsible for responding to and resolving customer service inquiries and issues, providing guidance and education on consumer-driven health care topics, and serving as a key support resource across multiple Medicaid markets. You'll work closely with our members, care providers, and internal specialists to ensure that our members receive the best possible care and support. **Primary Responsibilities** * Respond to and resolve customer service inquiries and issues on the first call, identifying the topic and type of assistance the caller needs * Help guide and educate customers about the fundamentals and benefits of consumer-driven health care topics, empowering them to select the best benefit plan options and maximize the value of their health plan benefits * Contact care providers on behalf of the customer to assist with appointment scheduling or connections with internal specialists for assistance * Support customers in confidently navigating myuhc.com and other blithequark websites, while encouraging and reassuring them to become self-sufficient by using our digital self-service tools and resources * Serve as a key support resource across multiple Medicaid markets, providing guidance and support to our members and care providers **Required Qualifications** * High School Diploma or equivalent work experience * Must be 18 years of age or older * 2+ years of customer service or relevant experience analyzing and solving issues/concerns * Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday between 9:30am - 6:00pm CST, including occasional overtime given the business need * Experience with Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high volume of calls and a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences **Preferred Qualifications** * Health care/insurance environment (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design) * Social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, health promotion, and behavior change (working with vulnerable populations) * Sales or account management experience **Telecommuting Requirements** * Reside within New Mexico * Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable) * Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy * Must live in a location that can receive a blithequark-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service (wireless service such as satellite, hot spot, line of sight antenna cannot be used for telecommuting) **Compensation and Benefits** * Pay is based on several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. * Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance * Incentive and recognition programs * Equity stock purchase * 401(k) contribution * Salary range: $17.74 - $31.63 hourly based on full-time employment **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** * Comprehensive 10-week paid training program, held Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM CST (schedule subject to change) * Ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge * Career growth opportunities within the organization, with a focus on promoting from within * Access to a range of learning resources, including online courses, webinars, and workshops **Work Environment and Company Culture** * Remote work environment, with the flexibility to work from home and manage your own schedule * Collaborative and supportive team culture, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences * Opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the lives of millions, with a focus on creating healthier communities and removing barriers to quality care **Equal Employment Opportunity** * blithequark is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer under applicable law and qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal laws, rules, or regulations. **Application Deadline** * This job posting will be live for a minimum of 2 business days or until a sufficient candidate pool has been collected.
