Job Summary As a Teacher Assistant for PreKindergarten, you will work closely with our teachers to implement plans and programs that promote academic and social growth. Your responsibilities will include assisting with lesson planning, preparing instructional materials, and providing individualized support to students. You will also help to supervise students during classroom activities, recess, and lunch, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Key Responsibilities Work directly with students individually or in small groups to reinforce subjects introduced by the teacher Assist teachers in planning, implementing, and evaluating instructional lessons and programs Prepare instructional materials, including posters, charts, and activity centers Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, and lunch Observe and gather assessment data on students, discussing progress with instructional staff Perform clerical tasks, such as correcting work papers, maintaining student records, and keeping daily attendance Participate in staff development activities and attend meetings as required Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate, as well as previous training or experience in an educational or instructional environment. You should be willing to learn and implement instructional methods, strategies, and techniques to assist teachers in the education of students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with students, teachers, administrators, and parents.
