Serve as highly technical and effective people manager, and SME in specific domain. Lead teams to deliver on multiple projects of increasing dependencies in ambiguous or high-impact area. Work with team and XFN partners to define and influence strategy. Work on issues requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Drive roadmap creation and execution. Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives and impact at organizational level. Participate in technical design. Measure the impact of team and set clear expectations and goals. Manage activities of two or more sections or departments, supervising costs, methods, and staffing. Work effectively with XFN partners and stakeholders to set and achieve optimal outcomes. Partner with leadership to influence and drive org design, contribution and prioritization. Design end-to-end core infra, backend software components for VR System Diagnostic solutions. Design and implement developer facing tooling to diagnose problems in OS and System level components. Telecommute from anywhere in the US permitted. Minimum Qualifications Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and four years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires four years of experience in the following: 1. Management experience with technical teams, or experience as a technical lead or project manager 2. Building products including Linux Kernel and ARM based SoCs 3. Coding skills in one of the following: C++, Java, or ARM assembly 4. Unix/Linux 5. End-to-end design of apps and services in an OS to support a variety of sensors 6. Analyzing and improving performance of OS services and components 7. Developing scalable, high performance, high throughput components and services for the OS 8. Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems in Bootloader, Kernel, and low level services 9. Coordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts that span different teams 10. Developing and managing requirements, and making data-driven decisions and 11.
