About the Role: Customs Brokerage Representative II We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customs Brokerage Representative II to join our team on a remote basis. As a key member of our customs brokerage team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring compliance with customs regulations, communicating with customers and foreign origins, and driving business growth. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and communicate documentation discrepancy issues with customers and foreign origins to resolve issues efficiently and effectively. Audit commercial documents, apply harmonized tariff schedule codes, and ensure compliance with federal requirements to minimize risk and ensure accurate duty assessments. Prepare and file customs entries, follow up on clearance processes, and coordinate freight delivery to designated locations. Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues in a timely and accurate manner. Establish and maintain client relationships to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction. Perform administrative tasks, including preparation of reports, presentations, and analysis using various software packages and databases. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Requirements and Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent required. Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws, and regulations, as well as other government departments. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications. Basic understanding of the Harmonized System (HS) and tariff classification. Must be a U.S. citizen or national of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field, such as international business, logistics, or supply chain management. Previous experience in customs brokerage, international trade, or a related field. Certification in customs brokerage, such as Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Export Specialist (CES). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. Skills and Competencies: To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and foreign origins. You'll also need to be highly organized, with ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
