Overview: SageSure has an opportunity for a skilled Associate Underwriter to thrive at our fast-growing company. Qualified candidates for this position will enhance their decision-making skills every day, including the use of underwriting judgement, delegated underwriting authority, and support of Underwriting team members. What you’d be doing: Evaluate to determine the appropriate course of action to remedy risk concerns. Perform follow up to ensure risk concerns have been remedied. Underwrite assigned referrals in new business referral queue based on underwriting guidelines and authority within service level agreement timeframes. Review Carrier Claim alerts and provide Underwriters with detailed claim information. Perform Pre-Renewal Underwriting Reviews of roof prior Loss Control inspections, policy condition referral triggers and loss history in order to provide Underwriters with detailed renewal information for renewal strategy decisioning. Actively engage with distributors and internal partners in a customer centric manner to provide solutions to their needs. Underwrite and process assigned endorsement requests within underwriting authority and within service level agreement timeframes. Take on special departmental projects as assigned. We’re looking for someone who has: 2 years of Customer Service and/or Underwriting Support experience, with working knowledge of insurance software and MS Office Suite Ability to work independently and as a team member while demonstrating solid analytical and decision-making skills Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Thrives in fast-paced, ever-changing environment, using technology to achieve efficiencies Working knowledge of SageSure & partner systems is a plus, including IPC Manager, Inspection Vendors, Carrier Claim Sites, 360 Value, Confluence Bachelor's degree in related field is a plus About SageSure : Named among the Best Places to Work in Insurance by Business Insurance for four years in a row (2020-2023), SageSure is one of the largest managing general underwriters (MGU) focused on catastrophe-exposed markets in the US.
