ASSOCIATE ACCOUNTING ANALYST

Caltrans District 3 is part of the Department of Transportation, focusing on improving lives and communities through transportation. They are seeking an Associate Accounting Analyst to perform complex analytical duties related to the Right of Way program, including analyzing reconciliations and processing transactions. Responsibilities Perform the most complex and high-level analytical duties related to Right of Way program Responsible for analyzing and reviewing reconciliations, reports, supporting accounting documents, funds and coding information Process Excess Land transactions, Expenditure Adjustment and various types of Right of Way Capital Outlay payments Participate in activities with the Right of Way Program to enhance business process and working relationships with Headquarters and District staff Act as a year end coordinator Perform internal control review and monthly Schedule III Reconciliation Review and sign claim schedules Provide coverage for the section during supervisor's absence Skills Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment If you are basing your eligibility on education, you must include your unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for verification Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov Resume is required and must be included Degree and/or School Transcripts Cover letter is required Knowledge of automated accounting system Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word Knowledge of California laws and procedures related to Accounting Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines Ability to handle multiple assignments effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner Ability to work in team environment Benefits Click HERE to view the Benefits Summary for Civil Service Employees in the State of California.
