Key Responsibilities: Teach a range of topics in social media and social justice communications, including communications strategies for social justice, social justice media, digital public relations, and campaigns Teach other courses in Advertising and Public Relations as needed Advise students and contribute to student success initiatives Participate in service to the university and community, including committee work and outreach efforts Teach both in-residence and online as needed Education and Experience: Candidates for the position should have: A Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., advertising, public relations, communications) A record of relevant professional experience in social media communications Excellent teaching and communication skills Ability to work with diverse student populations and contribute to a culture of inclusive excellence Preferred Qualifications: We are looking for candidates with: A Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., advertising, public relations, communications) Experience teaching online or hybrid courses Knowledge of curriculum design and development Experience with student advising and mentorship Skills and Competencies: To succeed in this role, you should possess: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to teach and advise students in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: The Pennsylvania State University is committed to the growth and development of its faculty.
