Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) Engineer Remote / Telecommute Jobs

Remote Full-time
About the Role: We’re seeking an ASIP Engineer to join our team in support of a U.S. Air Force Program Office. In this role, you will provide contractor support to the government’s ASIP Manager and Chief Engineer, helping ensure the long-term safety and structural integrity of one of the Air Force’s most iconic aircraft programs. You’ll review and evaluate analysis performed by partners including the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), the Mercer Engineering Research Center (MERC), and the National Institute of Aviation Research (NIAR). You will also help coordinate ASIP-related taskings across these organizations, making sure efforts stay aligned, on track, and well-documented. What You’ll Do: • Review and assess structural analysis reports (fatigue, fracture mechanics, damage tolerance, service life) developed by OEM and engineering partners. • Support the government ASIP Manager in coordinating taskings across Lockheed Martin, MERC, and NIAR. • Track ongoing ASIP activities and provide concise technical inputs for leadership decision-making. • Prepare review comments, technical summaries, and briefing materials. • Collaborate with program office staff, depot engineers, and industry partners to ensure strong communication and alignment. What We’re Looking For: • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering (Master’s a plus). • 5+ years of experience in aircraft structures, fatigue/fracture mechanics, or related work. • Familiarity with USAF ASIP processes and MIL-STD-1530 requirements. • Strong communication skills—able to review technical material and explain it clearly. • Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain). Preferred Skills: • Experience supporting a USAF Program Office or military aircraft sustainment program. • Familiarity with depot maintenance, OEM engineering processes, and sustainment practices. • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple taskings across diverse stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the sustainment of a critical USAF aircraft program while working side-by-side with government and industry experts. Apply tot his job
