Job Description: Accountant AP/AR Specialist Background Our clientm a leading B2B marketplace serving the property management sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant AP/AR Specialist to join their finance team and provide interim support beginning in October on a part-time basis (15-20 hours), then transition to full-time (40 hours) in December for 12-15 weeks. This role is crucial in maintaining the company's financial health and supporting the continued growth. Position Overview The Accountant AP/AR Specialist will be responsible for a variety of financial duties, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable collections, sales tax management, and assisting with month-end close processes. Key Responsibilities Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and vendor communications Perform regular bank account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records Assist with accounts receivable collections, including following up on overdue payments and maintaining customer relationships Organize and maintain sales tax exemption certificates for eligible transactions Support the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and financial reports Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ● 3+ years of experience in accounting Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Originally posted on Himalayas
